On3 prints four ratings for Kavon Blackmon and they do not agree. The Rivals block has the Springfield offensive tackle at No. 24 in America, Rivals Industry has him at No. 128, ESPN at No. 279. The Oviedo, Florida three-star picked the Buckeyes on June 27, a month after the offer arrived. Eleven Warriors named the next two targets that same afternoon: Monshun Sales chose Indiana on July 17, and Benny Easter Jr. is still pledged to Texas Tech.

A position by position read of the class entering August puts it at 19 commits with two groups at zero. The likeliest running back is now a flip of an Alabama or a Florida State pledge. The tight end may not be a high school recruit at all.
