High School Season

What this page will not print

2 rows on the MaxPreps pages behind this site's board schools are deliberately absent above, because neither is a fact yet:

• Washington Tigers, 9/25, opponent “Varsity Opponent”. "Varsity Opponent" is a MaxPreps placeholder, not a school. Their page.
• Millbrook Wildcats, 9/25, opponent “Rolesville”. The Sep 25 game against Rolesville was halted at 10-10 with overtime postponed to a date not yet set, per HighSchoolOT (Ben McCormick, Sep 26), so the tie MaxPreps prints is not a final. Their page.

And the standing limit, which outranks everything else here: schedules and TEAM results only. No individual stat line will ever appear on this page. The profile pages promise in this site's own voice that we do not post measurables we have not read in print, and a box score is the easiest place in this product to break that promise by accident.

The 2028 class on Friday night

Ohio State has five public 2028 pledges, two classes out from the one above. All five have a high school schedule read here, across five schools in four states (FL, MA, OH, PA). Five of them have kicked off, and they have gone 26-6 this season, counted one school's night at a time across 32 of them.

Source: MaxPreps, one schedule page per school, each carrying its own “Schedule last updated” stamp. Read Oct 10, 2026; their stamps run Oct 9, 2026 to Oct 10, 2026. Schedules and team results only, never an individual stat line.

Who these five are, what each service lists them at and where the services disagree is on the 2028 board, and one line a man on the 2028 index. This cycle carries commits only: no target and no miss is tracked for a class two years out, which is a rule rather than a gap.

Where do Ohio State's 2027 commits play high school football?

Ohio State's 19 public 2027 pledges play for 18 high schools across 11 states (AL, CA, FL, GA, MO, MS, NC, OH, PA, TX, VA). Every school's schedule on this page is read from that school's own MaxPreps page, which carries its own "Schedule last updated" stamp.

Do any Ohio State 2027 commits play each other in high school?

Yes. Two of those games have Ohio State commits on both sidelines: Sierra Canyon at Chaminade-Madonna on Aug 27 (Angelo Smith, Marcus Fakatou), and St. Thomas Aquinas at Chaminade-Madonna on Oct 2 (Angelo Smith, Wyatt Smith, Jaden Carey). Both schools list each of those games on their own MaxPreps schedule, on the same date and opposite sides, each naming the other. A game only one page carries is not published here.

How are Ohio State's 2027 commits' high school teams doing this season?

Those 18 schools have gone 102-25-1 this season, counted one school's night at a time across 128 of them. The two games with Ohio State commits on both sidelines counts once for each school, so both a win and a loss come off the same scoreline. Every row behind it is read from that school's own MaxPreps page and printed on this page, week by week. Team results only: this site publishes no individual stat line.

Every row behind it is read from that school's own MaxPreps page and printed at the foot of this page, one line a man. Team results only: this site publishes no individual stat line.

How do you know these high school scores are right?

Every row is read twice from the same MaxPreps page, once from the visible cells and once from the accessible name MaxPreps publishes for the same row, and both readings are stored. A row where the two disagree is not printed at all. We publish schedules and team results only, never an individual stat line.

18 of the 18 schools have played at least one game as of this reading. Where the class stands overall is on the commit board, every commit has a profile under recruits, and what the class still needs is on the needs page.
