Ohio State’s 2027 class is 20 commitments as of October 25, spread over 19 high schools, and 17 of the 19 played this week: Huntington Beach and Chaminade-Madonna on Thursday, October 22, Massillon Washington on Saturday, October 24, and the other fourteen on Friday, October 23. Fourteen won.
Brown’s record night
Jamier Brown had 224 receiving yards in Wayne’s 63-60 comeback at Centerville, and Eleven Warriors’ Dan Hope reported on Saturday that the total is a Wayne school record. Centerville led 38-14 at halftime. Brown scored twice, Hope wrote, one of them on a fourth-down screen pass that put Wayne ahead 56-52 with 9:45 to play. Ohio State receivers coach Cortez Hankton watched from the sideline.
“Definitely the wildest game I’ve ever played in,” Brown told Hope.
Hope reports that Wayne is the No. 4 seed in Division I, Region 2, and that the win gave it a first-round bye. The Warriors host No. 5 Hilliard Bradley or No. 12 Beavercreek in the regional quarterfinals on November 6, and Hope writes that Brown plans to enroll at Ohio State in January. Our account of the game itself, from the Dayton Daily News, is here.
Hall chose Penn State
On Saturday evening, Jordan Hall, the Princeton running back whose final three included Ohio State, picked Penn State over Ohio State and Missouri (our report). The night before, Princeton beat Fairfield 38-14 and is 10-0 on its MaxPreps page. On Sunday, in the free opening of a subscriber story, 247Sports’ Garrick Hodge wrote that Ohio State will now turn to other running backs and that Signing Day is still more than a month away. The names he goes on to list sit behind the paywall, so we do not print them here.
The scores
Every final below is the school’s own MaxPreps schedule page, as it read on Sunday, October 25. These are TEAM results. A school’s win is not a claim that its commit played, and where we know he did, a section of this story says so and names who reported it.

Did not play (1): Blessed Trinity Catholic (DJ Jacobs), 8-0, which hosts Chattahoochee on October 30.
St. Ignatius (James Conrad) is not counted. Its only game that week is a row whose opponent its MaxPreps page names two different ways, and we do not count a row until that is settled. Jackson Academy, Millbrook, Massillon and Central Catholic won by shutout, and no class school was shut out. After the week, eight of the 19 schools have not lost a game, the same eight as a week earlier, and they carry nine of the twenty commitments. Two records are floors: Millbrook’s 8-0 leaves out its September 25 game with Rolesville, which MaxPreps still shows at 10-10 with the overtime unplayed, and Massillon’s 7-1 leaves out a September 25 row whose opponent is named two different ways.
Friday, October 30
Twelve of the nineteen schools list a game that week. Seven list none yet: Wayne has its bye, and Liberty Center, Massillon Washington and Bishop Watterson each carry a row with no date and an opponent shown only as “TBA Opponent”, which we print once it has both. Jackson Academy, Ramsay and St. Clairsville list no later game. Kickoff times are local, from each school’s MaxPreps page as read on Sunday, October 25.
