A position appears under a name only where every outlet that lists one lists the same one. The services do not agree on Jameer Whyce, so his position is printed with the outlet attached on the 2028 board rather than settled here.

Ohio State finally landed a tight end, and he is in the class that did not need one
Luke Sohyda of Canon-McMillan pledged to the Buckeyes on Tuesday, three days after standing in the Ohio Stadium crowd for the opener. He is the fifth commit of the 2028 class and the first man on that board no service has ranked, which is a different kind of first from the one the 2027 room is still waiting on.
Quick answers: Luke Sohyda
Every answer below is read from the outlets' own pages, in each service's own words, and nothing here is estimated, averaged or projected. Where the services disagree the outlet's name travels with the value, the same way it does on the 2028 commit board.
- Is Luke Sohyda committed to Ohio State?
- Yes. Luke is a verified pledge in Ohio State's class of 2028, committed on , one of 5 commits on the 2028 commit board.
- What position does Luke Sohyda play?
- Tight end (TE). 247Sports and Eleven Warriors both list him there.
- How tall is Luke Sohyda?
- Luke is listed at 6-4, 250 pounds by 247Sports, as read on . Heights and weights here are never estimated.
- Where is Luke Sohyda from?
- Luke plays for Canon-McMillan in Canonsburg, PA.
- What is Luke Sohyda's recruiting ranking?
- It depends on the service, and this site does not pick one. 247Sports: 87 rating, No. 51 TE. Eleven Warriors: Three-star. Each was read on . A rating this far from signing day is at its softest, and it will move.
How we track Luke: 247Sports and Eleven Warriors do not describe him the same way, so this page does not pick one of them. Every value above that carries an outlet's name in brackets is a value the services disagree on, and every value without one is a value they all state identically. The commitment date is the one fact printed with no outlet beside it, because the services publish it the same. We do not post measurables we have not read in print, film breakdowns, photos of high school recruits, or predictions. A rating this far from signing day is at its softest, and it will move.
He is one of 5 pledges on the 2028 commit board, where the same 2 outlets are printed side by side for every name. The class that is actually about to sign is the 2027 board; see every recruit on it or where it still has holes on the 2027 needs page. Board moves break first on @buckeye.recruits and land here with the full story.
