DJ Jacobs spent Saturday in Neyland Stadium, and Rivals now names Tennessee as the program working hardest to flip him
Ohio State's top-rated 2027 commit was in Knoxville for Tennessee's game against Texas on the day the Buckeyes opened Big Ten play. It was billed as his younger brother's visit. On Tuesday Rivals wrote that Tennessee is the program working hardest to flip him, and 247Sports' visit log has not entered the trip.
DJ Jacobs spent Saturday in Sanford Stadium, and the page that keeps his visit log entered it as unofficial
Ohio State's highest-rated pledge was in Athens for Georgia's whiteout while the Buckeyes were losing at Texas. Land-Grant Holy Land called the trip official. His 247Sports player page entered it the other way, and the counter beside it still reads one, Ohio State, June 12.
The most important commitment on Ohio State's board is the one two other programs are still working
Land-Grant Holy Land argued on Thursday that holding DJ Jacobs matters more than anything else in the 2027 class, and it named the Hurricanes and the Volunteers. He was inside Ohio Stadium for the opener a week ago. The 247Sports page that logs his visits still says one, dated June 12.
DJ Jacobs plans three game visits to Ohio State this fall, and the report does not say which three
Land-Grant Holy Land reported on Monday that Ohio State's five-star edge rusher, a commit since December 29, plans three trips to games this season. His 247Sports page logs one visit. Ohio State has seven home dates, and the two rankings printed on that same 247Sports page have him first and third.
DJ Jacobs, Kellen Wymer and Prince Goldsby made 247Sports' preseason All-America team
247Sports named its preseason high school All-America team on Tuesday and three of Ohio State's 19 commits are on it. Jacobs was one of four finalists for national player of the year, and one of the other three is the running back who picked Tennessee over the Buckeyes in July.
